A significant portion of the Library's materials budget comes from memorial donations given by the Johnsonburg community. Memorial donations are accepted in any amount, and are typically used to purchase books, although other items can be bought if specified. An acknowledgment card is sent to the family, letting them know a memorial has been placed in memory of their loved one, and a memorial list is printed monthly in the Johnsonburg Press.

For those donors contributing the cost of an entire book ($20 or more), a book plate listing the loved one's name will be placed in the front of the book purchased with the donated money.

In addition to memorials, donations can be made in honor of other events, including birthdays, graduations, and new babies. It's a wonderful gift for someone who has everything.
